Sharon’s family is grateful to all who have reached out with prayers, kind words and other support, and they commend the staff at Northern Light Home Care & Hospice for their compassionate care. She loved watching birds at the feeder and caring for the several cats she nurtured over the years. She particularly enjoyed working with her flowers and plants, both indoors and outdoors. Her greatest legacy is the love and care she had for others. Sharon suffered with several chronic medical conditions throughout her life, but she always had a helping hand and a ready smile for anyone who needed them. From the 1970s to the early 2000s, Sharon was employed at what is now Maine Public in various capacities including several years as the manager of station services at the organization’s Portland facility. Sharon graduated from Brewer High School in 1969, and from Beal College in Bangor. Sharon is also survived by her beloved Aunt Margaret Theriault of Auburn, Maine, and special friends Sharon Stacki of Westbrook and Mandy Morrish of South Portland. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years and her greatest supporter, Russell J. She was predeceased by her son, Erik Russell Brimmer, in 1978 and by her father, Elmer G. Sharon was born in Lewiston, Maine on May 31, 1951. Levant - Sharon Alma Brimmer, née Groves, 71, entered eternity on August 10, 2022, passing at home with her immediate family. ![]()
